Recipe: Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each), skin on or off as preferred
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley or green onions
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Directions:

- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, salt and black pepper until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if the skin is on.
- Brush the brown sugar glaze generously over each salmon fillet, reserving a small amount for serving if desired.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F / 63°C).
- Optional: For a caramelized finish, switch the oven to broil during the last 2 minutes of cooking, watching closely to avoid burning.
- Remove from oven and let rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
